Pottering
With a quiet Saturday for once we went on an impromptu
potter around Bath, as Kit had never been. After a late start for a change Bath
was a very relaxed day, nosing around, not doing a great deal, bar a very good
pub lunch (a theme for quiet days with me it seems). Having not been for a fair
old while myself it was nice to be reminded of a few of the treasures and to
watch the hot air balloons floating across the town. Having started the day
late, it was soon time to head back sadly, but no doubt we’ll be back soon for
a wander.
Sunday was much the same really (well a little busier). As
ever an early start to pop in for a little signing in Westminster, meeting a
handful of Who actors (no surprises there). Our next appointment wasn’t for
hours though so we enjoyed a very leisurely bus journey through London taking
in the sights as we headed out of town. Having never really had time to relax
and appreciate where what is, in London it was quite something. We got off and
met up with Brian Wright (remember him from Birmingham dear reader?). Having
not seen him since he’d moved, it was great to at last catchup with him. Brian knew
all the best places for lunch, followed by another relaxed walk in the park. This
weekend was very much a relaxed walk around, not really doing a great deal;
maybe I should do it a little more often.
