A Bristol Weekend
After a busy week of filming I headed across to Bristol on
Friday night to stop with Martin and Gary. We had a lovely evening, catching up
and laughing (a lot, which was the theme for the weekend). It seemed to have
been an age since we’d seen each other, or perhaps that was just me.
Saturday, we headed off to the convention (the main
impetuous for staying in Bristol, not before a full English which Martin kindly
cooked). This was a busy weekend event, but by chance I knew a lot of the
guests so it felt more like a gathering of friends than anything. As ever the
event flew by, full of stories and catch-ups (and laughter). On the Sunday I
sat with Ian Reddington who made it one of the funniest signing sessions I've
ever done. It was also nice to briefly wander around Bristol (even if it was
just in the search for sandwiches).
Saturday night was very relaxed as Martin, Gary and I went
out for a meal in Bristol before returning to very funny evening entertainment.
Whilst Sunday, after the event, Martin cooked again (he's very good) as we
watched 'The Vault of Horrors’ (the reasoning will become clear next weekend).
As I always sign these off with, within no time at all, I was back to Cardiff
after a long weekend of laughter spent in wonderful company.
