Wanderings and the Sherman
Well dear reader it has been a busy week. The first of my college deadlines this week, lighting, which seemed to go OK (I say OK, I'm still not convinced, I didn't think it looked very good). Anyway that's all done and dusted thankfully. Whilst the rest of my week was spent working on my other projects.
Friday night, Jess and I went to the Sherman to see the world premier of "Killology", a co-production with the Royal Court. The show follows three characters as they talk about life, in particular how they are effected by a new game called Killology. Its a very clever play in that we gradually find out about each character and start to make links between them. I'd very much urge you dear reader to go and see it, either at the Sherman or the Royal Court (it'll be more expensive there though). I'd forgotten but quite by chance the composer was Simon Slater. Now as you'll know dear reader he was in Who in the 80s, but I never expected him to be there, but guess what, he was! So I unexpectedly had a lovely chat with him (such a nice man).
Saturday was a very early start, as I headed off to Chiswick for this month's signing. However quite by chance I bumped into Kev McKurdy so the journey flew by (it was never three hours, surly?). Anyway I got the signing for what was to be a very busy day!
It was a stellar line-up for sure, with, if I'm honest, too many guests, but good none the less. I was first sat with George Little (an Emmerdale regular during the 70s), who it turns out lives nearby and that he and his wife regularly go to the New Vic, so we've kept in touch. Sadly however, in my dashing around I missed Wanda Ventham (bother!), but hopefully she'll do another one soon (she'd better do). Then by chance I sat with Yee Gee Tso, who I've not seen for years. We had such a laugh, although I think his daughter found it a bit strange. Again we've agreed to keep in touch. After a very hectic day, I headed back to Cardiff.
