A rather different weekend – the rugby

Well dear reader, for once I stayed in Cardiff all weekend (unheard of I know). The weekend started very quietly which I think we both needed after busy weeks as veer, before Helen and Dad arrived and we headed off to the stadium. Now if you remember dear reader last time, I went to watch rugby, it was cold and wet and I said never again. Thankfully it was warm and dry so things were already getting better. Dad got us great seats to we had a brilliant view for the game and whilst I didn’t really have a great idea of what was going on, it was a great event and the atmosphere of it all was something very special (Wales won as well). Having said never again I changed my mind, and actually I wouldn’t say no another time, although I’m not sure it will become a regular thing. Afterwards we headed back to the flat for food and ended up watching ‘Back to the Future’. We realised that none of us had seen and all seemed to be rather surprised by just how good it was and how well it has stood the test of time.

Following a quiet but busy Saturday, Sunday was the same really. Following a cooked breakfast, we wandered over to Barry Island for a walk on the beach which, whilst it was sunny, was a little bracing but nice none the less. Before we knew it, Dad and Helen had to head back home, making for a very Welsh weekend (it still felt odd not driving anywhere).
