An exciting week in London
Well dear reader once again I'm behind, perhaps this should
become fortnightly (if anyone still reads my musings).
Anyway, Monday was a trip down to Brighton to catch-up with
Alan (Bennion for less avid readers). As ever a lovely day catching-up and
enjoying cake and wine, even if Brighton was rather wet.
The reason for what will be two weeks in London is a period
of work experience with ITV. Now I'm not able to say much (they actually made me
sign things this time), but I can say it was called Dark Heart and is a drama.
This week was spent in the office learning how it all works and getting to know
some of the production team. It was also a great chance to explore the area and
have a good wander round. As I wasn't far from them, I popped in to see Martin
and Joaquin two nights and had a lovely time, although I realise trying to
watch Eastenders, Corrie and Emmerdale in quick succession with no clue of what
is going on is a bad idea for sure, but worth a try if you've got a quiet
evening dear reader!
After a very busy week I'd packed things into my weekend as ever, with a trip
to Westminster for a signing first thing before dashing across to Wimbledon for
lunch with Nick (Evans the Dalek). I can't say I'd been to the area before so
he very kindly showed me round before lunch which was a great way to explore. Likewise,
I was off out for lunch (I should probably pay for some of these lunches) with
a chap I'd contacted some time ago, who was a number of Who monsters. Whilst I
can't say I explored Luton beyond the station I've been at least now. Again, we
went to a lovely little pub and chatted about Keith's work which was utterly
fascinating, he'd worked with so many greats. After a deliberately busy weekend
I know next week will be very busy, not that I can say much.
