Filming and weekend wanders

At long last something happened this week dear reader (and about time too).

Sunday marked the first of five days filming with the BA1 actors. As before Christmas, this involved each pair of actors doing a park, house and bar scene, this time working just with two directors which made life a little simpler. As ever it was full on and great fun, with only two days spent outside in the cold, but thankfully not wet (makes a change). As is ever the case it was soon over and by Thursday evening five weeks of prep was all over. However, Friday the crew and I were in filming one of the shows for a few hours so it was a very relaxed (and warm) end to what has essentially been 12 weeks of filming, on and off.

After a busy week I should perhaps have stayed in Cardiff for a break, however Saturday marked my first wander of the year. This was a very early morning to Barking to meet two people before dashing back across London (times never change), for lunch with a Dalek, namely Nick Evans (thankfully he wasn't in costume) at a wonderful theatrical restaurant called Joe Allan's which was delicious and more importantly a great place to catch-up with Nick. After a good catch-up, I headed down to Eastbourne to stay with Jess. Despite being in Cardiff I had no clue that rugby was on, but I quite enjoyed watching Saturday's game if I'm honest.

After a much-needed lie in we went for a lovely walk along the front which was very refreshing before making my way to catch-up with Alan for a few hours, before eventually heading back to Cardiff after what felt like a very long weekend. After what has been a busy week, I'm sure it will return to normal next week (sorry about that dear reader).
