Chapters 1-3
As was the case with the last filming placement, I thought
this would be a quiet week off, however that wasn't to be. Four days were spent
in college exporting videos and generally tying up loose ends from filming.
Whilst I was in college, thankfully it wasn't demanding, just hot, being stuck
in the edit suite.
Anyway, you'll be glad to hear dear reader that I've done
more than that (otherwise this would once again be a very short entry). Monday
evening was a trip to Chapter to see 'Canaries', an independent welsh film,
starring our college fight director (he seems to be working on everything
simultaneously, constantly). It was also an unexpected chance to catch up with
one of the directors from last week which was lovely.
Tuesday was then another trip to Chapter to interview
someone for my dissertation, which was both useful and interesting (wasn't
expecting that). Whilst Wednesday, I followed the theme and returned to Chapter
(does the title make sense now?), for a BAFTA event, a screening of another Welsh
independent film 'Love is Thicker than Water'. Very different to my first visit
of the week, and was a family drama and story of what family means, followed by
a Q&A with Sharon Morgan who was in it, which was interesting to hear.
Beyond my Chapter visits, popping into college was the focus
of the week and catching up on normality (exciting I know).
