A final trip to the Experience

Despite being my last week in Cardiff it seems to have been busier than expected. Whilst a few days were spent faffing around, Tuesday was a busy day as Jess and I ended up at Techniquest (we tried to go to the Experience but there were no tickets). Having not been for years it was good fun, although some of the puzzles were still beyond me (should I be worried?). After that we met with Dee to see 'The Adams Family' at the WMC. I expected it to be an adaptation of the film, but they took the characters and created a new story which was a much better way to do it. All of us enjoyed what was quite a show with some great songs and a surprisingly small cast (beautiful lighting and set design I must say).

The rest of the week seemed to fly by but I can't for the life of me think what I did (I'm getting old, I forget things these days). I know Friday was spent packing, but that's about it. Friday evening Dad arrived in Cardiff and the three of us went out for a lovely meal and walk in Penarth which was nice.

Saturday marked our final ever visit to the Experience as it will be shut by the time I return to Cardiff (it was a sad day indeed). Having not been for a while it was nice to see what had been added, particularly a lot from the last series which was great to see. Unexpectedly there was a talk on, which meant we heard from Howard Burden (costume designer), and Rob Allsopp (costume designer/armourer) and I also had quite a chat afterwards with them both. However sadly our visit had to end at some point and after a fairly long visit to the shop we headed home, up north, for what I'm sure will be a busy few weeks.
