A busy weekend of wanders
As perhaps more weeks should be over the
summer holiday it’s been very quiet this week. Most of it has been spent taking
Jess shopping for her trip to Mexico. Amongst all the shopping I managed to
have a long overdue catch-up with Dee which was lovely, having not seen each other
face to face since March. Friday Jess and I wandered down to the Bay for an
explore, ending up at the show of the Doctor Who Experience (I spent far too
much as ever).
Saturday was a surprisingly early start as for
an event in Cardiff celebrating 10 years since ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’
began (I was up earlier than when I go to London for some reason). Now this was
all done in aide of a Cancer charity and was organised by the parent of one of
the ‘kids’ so this was their first convention and sadly it showed, it wasn’t
the best organised, thankfully though I did manage to meet everyone I wanted to
(just), from a rather packed guest line-up.
Sunday went a little smoother at this year’s
LFCC, to meet a handful of guest, and yes it was another early start for Dad
and I, but I think we both agreed it was worth it. The main headline guest for
us was the delightful Mark Williams who seemed to be having a great time.
Thankfully it wasn’t quite as busy as other years so had a long chat with all
the guests we wanted to meet, especially Sacha Dhawan. After a busy but
enjoyable day Dad and I headed our separate ways home.
