'Blindsided' (at last!)
Well dear reader the week has finally come that
'Blindsided' opened. Monday and Tuesday was spent in tech, tweaking various
scenes, before we opened on Wednesday evening. As I write this on Sunday we've
done five shows already and all seem to have been well received (although from
where I am backstage I can't see or hear a thing, so perhaps I'm not the best
judge of how well it is going). Anyway, after all the build-up we're already
half way through the run which seems bizarre!
On Saturday, Dee very kindly came across to see
the show. Now for the benefit of readers who don't regularly keep up-to-date on
my musings (shame on you), Dee and I met when I went to see 'Les Blanche' at
the National and have kept in touch since. It was a lovely opportunity for us
to have a catch-up before the show, in a surprisingly busy Cardiff. Dee seemed
to really enjoy the show which was lovely to hear. Sadly I can't say that I've
done much else this week, the show has kept me rather busy!
