Earl Cameron & the end of projects

Well then dear reader as you may have guessed from this week's title, the focus of my week has been numerous project deadlines (at last). By Thursday lunchtime I was free of all work bar the odd remaining lecture next week (I can have my life back at last). All seemed to go pretty well, but I may be completely wrong, who knows.

As ever come the weekend l wandered off, this time on Sunday I wandered off to London, to the BFI, for an afternoon with Earl Cameron CBE. The afternoon consisted of a talk followed by the screening of his first film 'Pool of London'. Now I'll be honest with you dear reader, Earl first came to my attention having been in Who, but I was aware of his extensive career so it was a real honour to hear him talk about his life and career, and then to see the film that really launched his career. What was very touching was that so many of his family were there; you could feel the love in the room for him. Earl is truly an inspirational and much loved man. For a man of 99 to still be acting, had such a career, against a very tough set or circumstances, he truly is an inspiration to us all.

The man himself, Earl Cameron CBE
