10 Years of Torchwood

In all honesty dear reader I can’t remember an awful lot about what I did last week, as this week has been rather hectic (I’ll get around to posting that at some point).

Most of the week was spent finalizing various things for my lecture deadlines, but Wednesday evening was a trip to Chapter, for a special BAFTA screening of Torchwood, as it was 10 years since it was broadcast. The evening consisted of a documentary about Torchwood, 10 years on, as well as a screening of the first episode, followed by a Q&A with Gareth David-Lloyd (Ianto Jones) Richard Stokes (Producer), Danny Hargreaves (SFX), Joe Lidster, (Writer) and Garry Russel (Script Editor), which made for a fascinating panel. It was great to see Torchwood again, having not watched it for a while, but it was even better on the big screen, as I was only two rows from the front. I think I shall be re-watching more Torchwood this coming week. Asides from the enjoyment of Torchwood, I was reminded how nice Chapter is, so I hope to wander back there again soon.
