A quieter week in Cardiff

Well dear reader, following on from the excitement of the
last few weeks it’s been a far quieter week. I wandered back to Cardiff on
Monday and managed to catch some filming for the day. They've now moved onto
episode three which contains (warning big spoilers) snow and a bucket, as well
as an extra that runs off shouting 'oy' (I know, sounds like a great story!). I
was there for most of the day and the delightful Mr Capaldi came over to us all
and chatted (he's always lovely), despite it raining a fair bit. Tuesday was
back to filming, but I didn’t stay long, as they were inside so we couldn't see
much (no snow, buckets or extras I'm afraid to report). The rest of the week
has been spent in the new house faffing around and relaxing after my busy
couple of weeks.
Saturday was a very last minute and brief pop up to Preston.
Having been there a few years ago I had some idea of what to expect and it’s
not changed much. I went to meet an actor called Ian Hanmore. He was a lovely chap
and a true gent we had a chat about all sorts beyond Doctor Who and Game of
Thrones, definitely worth the trip. The rest of the day was spent faffing
around (I'm good at that).
Sunday however saw us (Dad and I) wandering down to Milton
Keynes for my great aunt and uncle's (I think that's my relationship to them)
joint birthday which meant a family reunion. Having not seen everyone for a
fair few years it was great to see everyone and catch up with the extended
family that we only see at such occasions. We had a lovely meal and sat outside
enjoying the sun and chatting, before heading home.
As you can see dear reader it’s thankfully been a little
quieter this week which has been nice. I really hope something unexpected
happens next week otherwise it could be a very short entry!
