An unexpectedly busy week

I expected this week's blog to be written from Cardiff dear reader however I never made it back to Wales this week! Last Friday Peter (you've read my other posts I hope dear reader so you know who he is by now) rang me about going down to visit him, however we couldn't make his suggested dates work, so in the end we agreed that I'd go down and stay with him for a few days this week (I live in the moment now dear reader, a rock and roll lifestyle indeed). Anyway, I found myself (somewhat unexpectedly) on a train for London on Monday. By lunch time I was sitting in Peter's favourite cafe enjoying lunch with him. Lunch always takes a few hours when I'm with Peter as we chat, forgetting that we're only there for lunch (we always do it, I don't know why). By the time we'd finished there, we went back to his house and continued chatting. Tuesday was much the same, although this time we ventured out to Hampstead Heath (a lovely part of London I discovered). Tuesday evening we watched 'The Revenant' (which is French for ghost or spirit Peter tells me, he's fluent so I'll take his word for that). It’s an interesting film, with some beautiful shots, but I hate to say, not an awful lot of plot. Neither of us realise just how long it was and thus had a break part way through!
Sadly, come Wednesday I had to wander off, but I went via Brighton (yes Jess, my geography really is that bad, I thought it was on the way home). Having left Peter's around lunchtime I was in Brighton for 4.00 and popped in to see Alan (look back at my earlier post dear reader, I'm not explaining everything, every time I mention someone, I'm far too lazy!). Anyway, I dropped in and spent a few hours with Alan which was, as ever delightful and he went to the effort of making me dinner which I didn't expect (we even had a rich chocolate, creamy thing for dessert). After an unexpected meal I said goodbye to Alan and headed back up north, the long way round.
Having returned from Ealing, Thursday and Friday was spent catching up with normality, although I did catch up with a friend from school on Friday which was nice.
As I'm sure you expect by now dear reader, I wandered off on Saturday to Chiswick for this month's signing. Having initially been a little underwhelmed by the line-up it was pretty good by the Saturday. Headlined by Tom Baker it was rather busy as one would expect, but I had a lovely chat with all the guests and met up with an awful lot of friends. Following the event, a few of us wandered across to where they'd filmed part of a Sylvester McCoy story (Remembrance of the Daleks for all you whovian readers), before we all made our separate ways home. As ever Sunday was spent faffing around, not doing a great deal.
Now an estate agent, but what did he do in 1975
that makes him an iconic part of Doctor Who?
