Dunning birthdays

My week seems very much to have been about birthdays in the Dunning (Kitty's) family. Monday was Kitty's birthday, and whilst we were both working, we went across to Penarth in the evening as it was gloriously sunny. We had a brief wander around, before popping over to her mums (first time I met her and Kitty's brother), before enjoying a meal out at a local, and very good Indian restaurant.
Thursday was another birthday in that it was Kitty's Mum's, for which I was very kindly invited to join them for a family meal (I think Monday went well). However, celebrations didn't stop there for the week, but I'll come back to that.

To break with the theme of this entry, I wandered across to London on Saturday to see Anthony Gardener. Having enjoyed his company at Utopia a few weeks ago (remember that?) I was delighted to be invited to spend an afternoon with him. Whilst it was only a short visit it was nice just to be able to chat without the pressures of a timetable and to explore his beautiful house and garden. As always seems to be the case, I found myself dashing back to Cardiff, but we both agreed we will do it again soon as we could natter on all day (what a surprise).

I headed back to Cardiff for part two of Kitt's Mum's birthday; her party. Arriving a little later than planned, a lot had already been drunk, but there was plenty of the barbeque left and it was nice to meet family friends and neighbours, and of course to see Kitty's family again. Whilst it wasn't an overly late night (well by my standards anyway), it was back to the flat and a much-needed lie in on Sunday. Sunday was very much a lazy day, pottering around the flat doing odd jobs.
