Another trip to The Bridge (not the Severn Bridge)
Well dear reader work on HDM 2 plods on nicely my weekend
was somewhat different to what I had planned.
Saturday went according to plan as I met Mum and Dad at The
Bridge, as we spent time at the stage door (I know before the show for a change)
and whilst I was only after a few of the cast, Mum managed to meet nearly all
of them (and have a nice natter with them). With the Sun shining it made for a
nice day as it wasn’t bad at all being stood outside in the nice weather. The
show itself was brilliant. I realise that none of us really had a clue about
the show but I think we were all really blown away by it. It has now finished
but still I won’t ruin the plot, however it focuses on a car accident and how
it impacts the people involved and the family. There is a lot more to it than
that, but I’m sure that won’t be the last time ‘Alys, Always’ is heard of. Not
only was it an interesting writing, but also beautifully staged with minimal AV
which was enough to set every scene for us. As is usual for a trip to the Bridge
we popped into Pizza Express before heading back to Cardiff.
Sunday was the day that didn’t quite go to plan. We had
thought we could go down and see Frank, however I had to work instead. Whilst
it wasn’t as sunny as Saturday, it was still a nice day to be out and about
even if not quite where I had planned. It also wasn’t too late a finfish so I
was still able to enjoy something of a quiet afternoon in the flat with Mum and
Dad who seemed to enjoy wandering around Cardiff in my absence. With Saturday
being a rather late night, Sunday was an early night for us all and much
needed.
