Black & white Who in Banbury (not very imaginative I know)

Having been to London far too much recently I felt like I needed a change this weekend, so it was lucky that was destined to be going to Banbury instead (still not really sure where it is, other than a vague idea). Having done the first day event of the year last weekend I was a little surprised to realise the first weekend event (a new one), was only the week after, not that that is a bad thing. Having only heard of Banbury (why I know not), I was intrigued to visit and whilst there isn’t a lot there, it looks pretty to say the least. The event celebrated 60s Who and amongst the guest line up was George Little who I’d not seen since his birthday so it was great to spend the day with him and Jane, but also (would you believe it) was Martin. Whilst it was a smaller event than usual for a weekend it was lovely as it meant I got to sit in on a lot of panels and there were no big queues so I spent most of the weekend chatting to the guests.

After a very civilised day (no rushing around at all) we all went out to Pizza Express, only to be joined a little later by Peter Purves who I sat with and not only enjoyed my meal, but also an evening of charming company. Before the evening’s quiz and entrainment (we didn’t win sadly).
Sunday followed in much of the same vein really (without Martin though). The day followed my evening really, mainly spent in the ever-delightful company of Peter Purves who I realise I’ve not had the pleasure to sit with and really chat to before. Again, much of the day included sitting in on panels as well as talking to Donald Tosh a great deal, again a chap I can’t think I’ve really spoken with before. Having both enjoyed a relaxing weekend, caught up with friends and made some new I headed back to Wales at a rather civilised time for a change.
