So dear reader, I left you saying that I'd
had a busy week (sounds like a new chapter, to a slightly rubbish book). I
thought last week was busy, but this week has been much busier! Again, Monday
to Wednesday was spent up at the castell (yep, I'm still Welsh) for the shows.
Whilst Monday's shows went without any issues, on Tuesday the Welsh weather hit
(and badly, it bucketed it down). However, I was prepared for this (supposedly)
as I had lots of bin bags. In practise however, that was a joke, everything
(thankfully bar me, thanks for the new jacket Dad) got utterly soaked (woops!).
The first of Tuesday's performances was run without mics. However the second
one was run off a mac book and a wireless speaker (thanks Emma) as water had
beaten me (I know now that not all gazeboes are waterproof). With the inverter
dead, the sound system changed substantially, although the castell was fine.
Whilst it wasn't idea, I did the same for Wednesday (it did make my life a lot
easier though as I had far less to do/think about, every cloud).
Wednesday's final performance came around
very quickly and all of a sudden we'd finished the run. It’s been perhaps one
of my most enjoyable shows that I've done, made all the more enjoyable by being
with a great group of designers and at a lovely location; I really will miss
it. As an unexpected thank you from the company supplying our welshcakes, they
made us a three tier Victoria Sponge which was much needed (more importantly I
got to take it home to finish and there was half a cake left!). With the show
finishing on Wednesday, I was back there on Thursday for the get out, which
didn't take long at all. With the end of puppetry I'd finished college. I'm
amazed to already be saying that I've finished my first year at university
already; it’s flown by.
Anyway, what did I do with my day off I
hear you ask, well I (we) collected our keys for our new house. With the end of
first year, comes the need to move house, so I now find myself living in Roath,
with Sam, George and Joe F. I spent much of the day going back and forth with
various bags and cleaning (I always feel happier after I've hoovered round and
dusted).
Having started to move on Friday, you may
expect me to continue doing so over the weekend dear reader, but no. Saturday
was an early morning wander to London, for this month's Fantom signing. As ever
a fantastic event, that was admittedly a little quiet, but that meant I got to
spend longer chatting with the guests and friends, so I'm not complaining. I
should perhaps explain the picture (assuming I've actually posted it).
This was the actor, Dean Hollingsworth's idea, as in one of his episodes he has to strange another character, by lifting them off their feet, hence his acting and my not so wonderful acting.

Upon my return to Cardiff I continued with
the move, however this time with the help of George's mum (thanks Lisa). With
the addition of a trailer, we all ferried bits and pieces back and forth and
began unpacking. As you can imagine this took most of the day, so I sit here
writing this dear reader (let’s pretend it’s not a week late) in a sea of boxes
and hangers.
