A week spent all over the place

Hopefully I'll break the trend of the last few weeks and will actually post this on time, I hope.
Anyway, by now the boxes have been unpacked, as that's been my main project for the week. It properly took me a few days to sort everything out, but I'm finally there with it all and our new house is starting to really feel like home.
With most things unpacked, on Tuesday I joined Adam (remember him) for a spot of location filming at the back of Cardiff museum which was great. Not a lot was visible as it was mainly inside, but it wasn't too long a day and I got some fresh air. Perhaps more importantly Pearl came out to meet us all and she's still just as brilliant! I didn't see an awful lot so I can't give anything away even if I wanted to.
As well as the challenge of moving house I've had a number of chats with people in the television industry this week which have all been rather interesting. The first of these people was an actor and now a director, on Wednesday who has recently retired. We talked at length about working in and around Manchester which was very interesting and helpful. My second victim (I should add that they all agreed to chat to me) was a lovely gentleman who started off as an actor, but is now a voice coach and presenter, who again had a lot to say about the industry.
Thursday was the last day of sorting out the new house as I attacked the garden (and I mean attacked, it was a big job). As the garden is the responsibility of the tenants the previous people had ignored it so there was a fair bit to do, hence why it took me most of the day to clear it, but I think everyone agrees it looks an awful lot better (they'd better say that).
Having finally got the house under control, I left (I know, how stupid) to return home for a few weeks. I planned to be at home (up north) for a few weeks, but already that’s changed. One of my reasons for coming home was to go to the Buxton Literature festival (my second literature festival for the year I hasten to point out) with Dad on Saturday, to listen to Hugh Fraser (an actor), talking about Agatha Christie, with Kathryn Harkup (a scientist interested in poison). I went to meet Hugh Fraser (no surprises there), but the talk was absolutely fascinating, as the session managed to cover the science behind poisons and their use in Agatha Christie’s novels, some of Christie’s background, driving vintage cars, Hugh’s career and filming Poirot (see what I mean). We both agreed that we’ll have to keep an eye on the festival again next year. Unbeknownst to us we happened to visit Buxton on the day of the carnival which was fun, so thus we had to make our way through various floats and a number of Evils impersonators to get there, which was interesting to say the least.
Sunday has been a much quitter day sorting out a rather silly few weeks ahead, but you’ll have to wait another few weeks to hear what I’ve got planned (not that it’s that exciting, it’s just a bit silly.)
