Projects, Projects, Projects
Following on from last week’s excitement, it’s been far
quieter this week (that’s all you need to know really, don’t bother reading
on).

Once again, collegewise, the focus has been lighting and
sound projects. As well as that we’ve now got a props project to keep us busy
(talk about spinning plates). The fun and games of three projects and an essay
have kept me busy for most of the week, and this weekend, but all seem to be
going well. Thursday however marked a break from projects, as we had a trip
(yay) to St. Fagans. St. Fagans is part of the Welsh National museum, looking
at Wales through the ages. They have purchased old buildings, and then moved
them brick by brick to St. Fagans and then decorated them as a particularly
period. Aside from the fact that it was a nice trip out, they happened to have
also filmed Doctor Who there (Family of Blood/Human Nature), which I bored the
rest of the group about, but I enjoyed it.
Beyond the excitement of college I finally managed to see ‘Deadpool’,
which I thought was rather brilliant. Although I wasn’t expecting so many references
to other Marvel films (there are gaps in my X Men knowledge). As well as that
on Thursday I went to see ‘Footloose’ at the New Theatre. For me it’s one of
those shows that everyone talks about, but I know nothing about it, so when the
opportunity came up to see it, I couldn’t say no. Whilst there were a few
things that I’d question about the sound, it was a really feel good musical
with some very catchy songs.
As I sit here writing this, I am enjoying the peace and
quiet of the flat, as most of the flat have gone home for the weekend, which has
been rather strange. I’m sure normal service shall no doubt be resumed later,
ahead of Monday!
