What on earth have I done this week?
Once again dear reader, it is that time of the week
(Sunday). Immediately I can’t think that I’ve done anything this week, so this
may be a very short post (yay!).
Monday was perhaps the most interesting day of my week, as
Sam and I went to see ‘A Murder is Announced’ at the New Theatre, Cardiff. I
had seen it a few years ago, with the delightful Katy Manning staring in it.
Having enjoyed it so much, I was eager to see it again (especially as tickets
were only £5, and they were in the stalls). Yes, dear reader there was someone
from Doctor Who in it (how did you guess?). For this production, Judy Cornwell
played Agatha Christie. Having not seen the show for a few years, I was
surprised just how much of it I remembered, as there were a number of
lines/moments that I could remember. It was entertaining sitting in the
interval asking Sam who it was, however he guessed everyone bar the real
murderer! After the show we met Judy, who was lovely and said how much she
enjoyed working on Doctor Who (Paradise Towers if anyone is asking).

The rest of the week has been rather uneventful really. I
have done a number of wanders into Cardiff (and yes, back out of Cardiff). I
found somewhere to get a haircut (my week really has been that exciting!). I
even brought a new pair of shoes!
Friday was another eventful evening as I went out in Cardiff
(at night!). It was good fun so it may happen again, we’ll have to see.
Saturday was obviously eventful again as it was Doctor Who! I’d had high hopes
for the story, but I felt it was a little rushed, although I did like the Mire;
hopefully next week’s will be less rushed.
As I sit here writing this I have spent the day trying (and
yes failed to) fix one of the designer’s laptops (aren’t I useless). However it
probably didn’t help that I was watching Monty Python at the same time. Perhaps
the highlight of my weekend has been the baking that has occurred! We now have
quite a lot of very ice brownies (thanks Emma) and cookies (thanks Del).
Exactly what I will get up to next week remains a mystery,
but I’m expecting another silly weekend and a lot of Star Wars (if I remember
I’ll explain about that at some point).
