Another trip to Chiswick
Perhaps the first day of note this week was
Wednesday when I wandered over to Chapter once again to see a film called
'B&B' and as she finished early, Jess came along too. The film put very
simply was a thriller set in a remote B&B near Bristol, part thriller part
Agatha Christie (but more thriller than anything). Quite by chance it was
filmed near where Jess's grandparents use to live so I think it was a little
odd for her to see it on screen. The film was followed with a conversation with
the producer Jayne Chard and the writer/director Joe Ahearne.
Joe also directed a few episodes of Who so I was able to have a brief chat
afterwards which was great.

The only other day of note this week has been Saturday as I wandered off to
Chiswick for this month's signing (the rest of the week has sadly revolved
around essays and projects). It was a busy day for all, with Tom Baker being
joined by two companions amongst the line-up. I ended up sitting with the voice
of K9, as well as a designer and a supporting artist from his story so had a
lot to talk about. As one of the other helpers had kindly given me a lift down
I was able to stop for a drink before we headed back to Cardiff, after (as
ever) a very busy day.
I was able to have something of a lie-in on
Sunday before interviewing the Production Manager of the New Vic as part of one
of my projects that I'm working on. It was a fascinating chat and a great
chance to be able to ask all the questions about the Vic that I'd never quite
managed to answer before.
