More filming and a bakery
I must begin this week’s entry with an apology
dear reader. It seems that my posts are getting later each week (I'm also
getting a little lazy, generally, not with my blog).
The theme for my week has mainly been more
'Class' filming. Monday evening I popped up to Cardiff Met to see what was
going on, but the security was a little too good and I couldn't get anywhere
near. However I did have a lovely wander through Llandaff and Llandaff fields.
As you can see (assuming that I remember to post a picture) it was glorious
sunshine, so I wasn't that disappointed not to see any filming.
Tuesday however was more successful as I
actually got to see some filming! This time I did a night shoot (only until
12am this time), but was caught unawares again and was thus freezing, but it
was worth it. They were filming at another part of Cardiff Uni, not far from
college, both inside and out. I don't want to give too much away about what I
saw, but it’s looking good. As part of the excitement I met the lovely Vivian
Oparah (the last of the 'kids') and Faddy brought us doughnuts (see why I enjoy
watching filming). I was back there on Wednesday evening, this time a little
more prepared (I had snacks and thicker socks on), for more filming. There was
quite a big surprise that night and whilst I know a few pictures have appeared
online I don't want to spread anything, sorry.
I caught up with Bryan (see my entry about
Chapter, but I'm sure you don't need reminding dear reader) on Saturday
afternoon. We went to a new place for me 'The Cosy Club' (a rather good
cafe/restaurant). I also spent Sunday afternoon with Bryan, and his friend
Philip (thanks once again for the lift). Bryan was invited to the official
opening of 'The Pettigrew' bakery (just on the other side of Bute Park) and
kindly invited me along. It was a very nice event of mingling and nibbles
(which were fantastic!). It seems like it’s a proper, traditional bakery, with
some fantastic items (the carrot cake in particular is quite excellent). I
managed to leave with a few extra pieces of cake (I was doing them a favour as
it was only going to go to waste otherwise). Following my second afternoon with
Bryan, I faffed around, and did the ironing (I know, how exciting!).
Once again, as I am writing this on Monday
(sorry dear reader), I can say that next week is already rather interesting (I
seem to be saying that a lot recently).
